Western Power personnel from Forrestdale and Geraldton depots received training on the new upgraded design 10kN 3 Drum skid mount winches facilitated by Redmond Gary Australia’s new Customer Service & Training Officer, Rob Anning.

The new design replaces the Bosch Rexroth hydraulic motors with Poclain hydraulic motors.  These motors have a better performance curve and are easier to rotate the winches when in free-wheel mode.  The motors also have the ability to increase the power if required.

Western Power have mounted the 3 Drum winches on pig trailers that are supplied locally and are towed using crane trucks.
