SA Power networks have taken delivery of 5x 1.5T Drum Stands, these drum stands are very popular and have been supplied to most electricity authorities and many contractors.
They are supplied with a light weight spindle mounted on roller bearings and supplied with a manual spindle disk brake.

The drum stands are supplied with tie down points and 4 lifting points, they are also supplied with forklift apertures. All drum stands are hot tipped galvanised, disc brakes are stainless steel and the spindle is zinc plated, with maximum erosion protection and are suitable for outdoor use with a design life of 20+ years.

This type of drum stand was first made for South East Queensland Electricity board back in 1987, and was supplied with a band spindle brake, later updated to a disc brake. This type of drum stand was redesigned in 2013 to meet or exceed Australian Standard, and forklift apertures were added and improve features.

These 1.5T drum stands have been subject to continuous design review based on customer feedback and new requirements. Today they are offered with a comprehensive range of options to meet a wide range of customer requirements, these include but are not limited to the following:

950mm wide drum is standard and 1200mm wide drum is optional
