The Triple Drum Stand Truck is designed to carry drums for overhead cable installations.

Each of the three removable drum stand modules is secured to the deck base by four container locks. A hydraulic connection is provided for each module. The truck is fitted with a PTO- driven proportional hydraulic pump.

The system can be operated from either the manual control station on the kerb side or from the radio remote transmitter.

E-stop buttons are provided at:

• The main manual control station
• The rear corner of the deck on both sides
• The radio remote transmitter

The hydraulic reservoir is located on the kerb side of the vehicle and is provided with a filler breather, return line filter and sight glass (which also incorporates a thermometer).

Four lifting lugs are provided to lift/lower the drum stands. The drum stands are able to be mounted to the truck with the aid of four container locks on each.

The drum drive system uses geared wheels to achieve the 10 kN line pull.

A fairlead is provided at the rear of the truck to guide cables from all three drum stands, the Triple Drum Stand Truck is intended for use with overhead conductors.

The unit is provided with a folding hydraulic personnel platform with ladders on both ends. On the kerbside of the truck, the handrails fold down to provide access to the drum stands for loading and unloading drums.

All three drum stands are provided with hydraulic controlled spindle brakes with capacity 900kg @1000mm diameter. The brake controls are located on the kerb side of the truck.

The drum stand spindle rotators are radio controlled so the operator can stand well clear of the unit to have clear vision when in operation. Electric controls are provided on the kerbside of the truck that can be used instead of the radio controls.

The Triple Drum Stand Truck is provided with flood lights for night work in addition a number of rotating amber lights are provided. A storage system is provided for bollards.

PTO driven variable displacement piston pump used in conjunction with proportional hydraulic valving. Control of the drum rotators has two modes – primary mode is by radio remote control using a hand held radio transmitter and secondary mode is by electric controls located on the kerbside of the cab chassis.
Highest level filtration system is provided featuring 10 micron absolute filtration and incorporates pressure filter, return line filter and filler breather filter.

The unit is mounted on a 6 x 4 cab chassis of customers choice. Changes to the cab chassis specification, may change the loading characteristics of the unit.
