Training

Our training team

Redmond Gary Australia has a full time in-house trainer with Cert IV qualification in training. Every piece of equipment that is manufactured by Redmond Gary Australia can be provided with operator training in accordance with customer requirements.

A good business recognises the importance of continuous productivity and achieving high efficiency. Equipment is most effective with proper product knowledge and operator training behind it. That is why Redmond Gary Australia provides in-depth product information and hands-on product training.

Our methodology

Training is held in small groups of no more than 6. Redmond Gary produces equipment specific training literature is supplied to all trainees. Training is competency based as well and theoretical training. Depending on the type of equipment, training sessions normally last 2 – 4 hours. All trainees have to prove their competency using the equipment provided. In addition, the training includes the risk assessment which is a live document. It is the responsibility of the trainee to add to the risk assessment for site specific requirements and their own industry procedures. The risk assessment should be reviewed on a regular basis.

All trainees are provided with a certificate on the successful completion of training. The trainer will evaluate trainees’ performance before signing off to issue competency based training certificate.

Specific courses for maintenance personnel

In addition to operator training for equipment supplied we also run specific courses for contracting companies to carry out repairs on our equipment. Courses normally run for 2 days and are carried out at Redmond Gary Australia’s Molendinar workshop.

• Mechanical insulation.
• Electrical and radio control system maintenance for TL series MEWP’s.

These courses are run at the factory so training is completed on machines under constructions. Trainees can get a full understanding of how the machines are manufactured and how to dismantle them. Training is also provided on the use of special tooling and fixtures.

As part of the training package, comprehensive manuals are provided including work procedures on a number of complex tasks. Trainees are also introduced to key personnel who are available to give over the telephone guidance and advice on repair problems and recommendations.
