Description

This type of winch tensioner is designed for installation and maintenance of overhead lines (catenary) for tram ways and light rail networks.

The winch tensioner can be mounted onto a tray type truck and fixed with container locks.

There are a pair of winch tensioners provided. Each is capable of taking a drum size of 1300mm diameter x 700mm wide weighting up to 1500 Kg.

The winch is designed to be used one at the time. When the cable off one drum is depleted the second drum can be started.

The unit is provided with a pivoting fairlead, this can be extended to required height an angle.

The operator enclosure is made of compact design to allow for a truck mounted crane to load and unload cable drums.

The equipment is fully self-contained with its own diesel hydraulic power pack and digital control with data logger.

The operator safety system includes doors and gates interlocks, operator safety enclosure and operator present foot switch. The winch tensioner will not operator unless all interlock are made and the operator is inside the enclosure with the door closed.

The winch tensioner is of high-quality build with a design life of 20 years.

Parts Books & Operating Instructions

The equipment is supplied with one copy of an operation manual which includes operating instruction, safety information, major assembly drawing, hydraulic and electrical schematics (if applicable), etc. Additional copies are available upon request at nominal cost.

Design and improvement of products is a continuous process. We, therefore, reserve the right to make design improvements differing from this specification after receipt of an order. However, any major changes will only be made with the approval of the customer or its’ representatives.

Warranty

12 months parts and labour in accordance with guarantee and sales conditions.
