National Cable Installations have taken delivery of specially designed 60kN Cable Hauling Winch. The winch is designed to fit onto standard 20 foot container lock points and features 1200 metres of rope and is supplied with an Archimedes screw for level winding as well as electronic line pull detection which will control the line pull to preset limits which can be adjusted by the operator. The machine is also provided with a data logger to record each pull for customer’s records.

The unit features interlocked steps and operator’s cubicle, fully enclosed water-cooled diesel engine and storage locker. The unit is mounted on a galvanized steel frame and has aluminium decking. This is one of the larger self-contained units in our range and will greatly enhance National Cable Installations (NCI) capabilities enabling them to install large cable and carry out a wider range of work. In addition, NCI have recently purchased a 40kN Skid-mount winch and a 20kN cable pusher capable of handling cable up to 180mm in diameter. This makes NCI a serious contender for major projects throughout Australia.
