PoleERU EDITORIAL

Redmond Gary Australia has just released a new model of its PoleERU (Pole Erection and Recovery Unit). The design changes have resulted in greater simplicity and ease of maintenance. Managing Director, Andrew Danks, explained that earlier models had performed well in the field but customers had expressed the need to reduce the complexity of the machine to reduce maintenance costs.

The new model utilises a proven Robway load-monitoring system with industrially-tough sensors for measurement of boom and turret angles, individual boom extensions and winch rope tension.

The complex telescopic extension cylinder of the early models has been replaced by an external cylinder on the underside of the boom.

The strength and rigidity of the new model allow heavier loads to be handled with ease, even at greater radii than its competitors.

This State-of-the-Art design is offered in front or rear-mount version. Our design engineers have been working to reduce front axle loading so it can be fitted to a greater range of trucks. In addition, at customer’s request, PoleERUs can be offered in 5/10 tonne or 6/10 tonne versions with lifting capacity of 6000kg at more than 6 metre radius.
