The Mazak VCN-700D is a high-performance vertical machining centre that offers exceptional capabilities for a wide range of machining applications and is the first of this model in Queensland.

The machine features a traditional C-frame design, vibration-dampening, rigid base and headstock/column castings for extreme stability. The largest machine in the VCN series, the VCN-700D features a 1,530mm x-axis stroke and a 700mm y-axis stroke.

The No.50 taper spindle ensures robustness and stability during machining operations. It allows for efficient removal of material and provides consistent and reliable cutting performance.

The machine is equipped with a servo-driven automatic tool change system (ATC) for fast and reliable operation. Tool changes on the machine occur in 2.9 seconds to significantly reduce non-cut times and get spindles back in the cut in the shortest time possible.

The machine is designed to deliver exceptional precision and accuracy in machining. With advanced features and technologies, it ensures tight tolerances and high-quality surface finishes, meeting the demands of intricate and complex parts.

The Mazatrol SmoothG control makes it easy to generate CNC programs for processing complex parts through off-centerline machining as well as drilling, milling and tapping. The control incorporates a wide variety of advanced CNC programming functions that allow it to offer complete ease of use and ensure high-speed, high-accuracy CNC machining performance.

This machine replaces a smaller older model.  With increased capacity and advanced programs, the new machine will reduce part-process time and will be able to do work in-house that could not be done in the past, leading to cost reductions.
