Service Stream Fixed Communications Pty Ltd trading as Service Stream Essential Network Services has taken delivery of three auto SCW500 Single Side Winding Machines. These machines will be used in their Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane warehouses to wind on job lengths of cable on drum sizes up to 1100mm diameter by 650mm wide weighing up to 500kgs.

The SCW500 is also supplied with collapsible coil heads. Model C600 short lengths of cable can be supplied as a coil or cable.

The machines are simple to use, these single-side drum machines are shaft types with hydraulic drum lift/lower via hand pump. The drum is rotated with a variable-speed electric drive and includes a measuring meter.

The cable winders are provided with an interlocked drum guard, the electric drum rotator is provided with an operator present deadman control. The machines are mounted on wheels and can be easily maneuvered around the warehouse when used in conjunction with a live cable-drum racking system.
